Profile The main voice of Eurosport's Football coverage Wayne has commentated on the Finals of the Africa cup of Nations, UEFA European championship, Asian Cup, Concacaf Gold Cup, FIFA Womens World Cup, UEFA Women's Euro, UEFA Champions League, Asian Champions League, Concacaf Champions League and every FIFA & UEFA International Youth tournament from Under 17 to Under 20 level. Wayne can be heard regularly covering the Chinese Super League on Sky Sports and for BT Sport Commentating Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Serie A, and the Brazilian league. Wayne featured and was the commentary voice in the highly acclaimed Adidas (“Pogba”) advertisement broadcast worldwide after the midfielder had just broken the world transfer record. His voice has also appeared on the BBC, Channel 4 and Quest in the UK and Worldwide productions for several companies including IMG/TWI, Matchroom, Input media, KOTV, Rai (Italy), Sportfive ,Canal plus (France), Ten sports (UAE) & Al Kass (Qatar). Wayne began his broadcasting career in 1997 in hospital radio at Radio Odstock in Salisbury and was soon picked up by the local commercial radio station, Spire fm. After gaining invaluable experience presenting music programmes and sports reporting he moved to Bournemouth based NRG (now Fire) and Southampton's South City fm. Following 3 years in radio Wayne made the switch to television when he joined Eurosport in 2000 at their Paris based head quarters where he spent 2 years helping launch the Eurosport news channel. During his time in the French capital he freelanced with several Paris based companies including Canal plus, Canal France International, Sportfive and Motors TV. Returning to the UK in 2002 he became freelance where former employers Eurosport continue to be his main client. |
